Michelle has been a part of the Bayport-Blue Point community for the past 25 years alongside her husband, Sean. They are proud parents to daughter, Isabella, 22, and sons, George, 20, Jamison, 17, currently a junior at Bayport-Blue Point High School. Since 2000 Michelle has been supporting local organizations both through hands-on volunteer work and financially. She has always strived to make our community better; and does so quietly not asking for or needing recognition. Now she’s excited to begin her work with the BBP Foundation!
In her years in Bayport-Blue Point, Michelle’s work with the PTA and district wide committees has been extensive. She has served on the BBP PTA Executive Board for over 15 years, on the PTA Council Executive Board for eight years, and currently is the Treasurer of the High School's PTSA. Michelle played a role on the Re-entry Task Force Committee, helping to safely return students to school during COVID. She also served on the district’s School Improvement Team for several years. In addition, Michelle is a member of the Cultural Advocacy, Respect & Empowerment (CARE) Committee.
Michelle continues to make time for local organizations and has always gone above and beyond in all that she sets out to do. In her work with the Booster Club, she consistently worked at the Snack Shack and would often just jump in when she saw help was needed, even if not her scheduled time. Michelle has served as Treasurer for the Boy Scouts and organized clothing drives at the High School. Michelle has opened her home for both the Bayport- Blue Point Heritage Association House Tour and to host the Our Lady of the Snow Food Pantry Cocktail Reception. She has consistently and quietly been a generous financial supporter of numerous community fundraisers over the years. Michelle created the local community Facebook Parents Page, connecting families throughout the district.
As a former Special Education teacher in Patchogue-Medford School District for five years, she has brought both professional expertise and personal dedication to supporting all students in the community. We are very fortunate to have such a warm, dedicated, and generous individual who has given so much of herself to our community.
